While the bug was quickly fixed via a free update, the version that exists on the cartridge still has the bug present unless connected to the Internet. Why is this a big deal? Unfortunately, a bug was present in Version 1.0.5 of the game which halted player progress and forced them to reset their save file.
This version of the game was produced after the game’s latest patch, keeping it at Version 1.0.5 instead of the latest Version 1.0.6.
Metroidvania Gato Roboto received a physical release on Switch via Special Reserve Games earlier this year.
